TeleMED Unveils New Website to Mark 10th Anniversary of Serving the Canadian Healthcare Community

(Toronto) Telemed Diagnostic Management Inc. (TeleMED) today launched its new website to mark a decade of serving the Canadian healthcare community.

Since its incorporation in 2000, the company has been the pioneer in technology solutions for the management of ECG and other non-invasive tests. Each year, medical laboratories use TeleMED technology to process over 1 million tests, at over 700 locations across Canada.

The Company’s new website reflects the opportunities that it sees for future growth: expansion in the variety of tests that can be managed using ViTELflo platform and expansion beyond its traditional base of community medical laboratories. “We believe that we have only scratched the surface of the opportunities that are available for us,” said Stephen Chernoff, TeleMED’s Director of Marketing & Sales. “There has been an explosion in the number of inquiries that we get for secure, efficient mobile testing solutions. However, we also see a need in the areas of clinical research, executive health and smaller hospitals and clinics.”

TeleMED Plans to Expand Services as Finance Minister Urges Reduction in Provincial Healthcare Spending Across Canada

As Finance Minister Jim Flaherty urges provinces to reign in healthcare spending, Canada-based Telemed Medical Diagnostic Management Inc. (TeleMED) is expanding its time and money saving electronic medical data management services across the country.

In the wake of its recent 10-year anniversary providing medical diagnostic data management technology for the healthcare industry, TeleMED plans to expand its efforts to help healthcare providers across Canada increase productivity, optimize workforce capabilities and reduce costs.

“Provinces are going to have to look at their budgets and figure out ways of providing healthcare services without rampant growth,” Flaherty told New Brunswick’s Telegraph Journal in July in response to Canada’s rising healthcare spending despite the country’s slow economy. Quebec Premier Jean Charest responded to Flaherty’s statements adding that health care costs are rising across the country 5% to 6% each year, and these costs will continue to grow with Canada’s aging population.

TeleMED has recently expanded the suite of tests that can be managed using their ViTELflo platform, to include resting blood pressure, stress ECG and spirometry. It is also branching out beyond its traditional base of privately-operated, community medical laboratories to serve publicly-operated laboratories, hospitals and clinical research organizations. The company’s recent milestone and plans to expand come at a time when Canada’s overburdened healthcare industry needs it most.

“More than ever, healthcare providers are being asked to accomplish more with fewer resources,” says Asa Lebel, President and CEO of TeleMED. “These organizations need the improvements in productivity, profitability and patient care that technologically-advanced, automated solutions can deliver. That’s why, with 10 years of steady growth behind us, we see ourselves as well prepared for the upcoming decade.”

(Toronto, February 1, 2008) – The expanding market share of Telemed Diagnostic Management Inc. (TeleMED) is reaching another key landmark, as it completes the implementation of the company’s first contract with a medical laboratory in Alberta.

The new customer is Dynacare Kasper Medical Laboratories (DKML), which provides comprehensive laboratory testing services to hospitals, regional healthcare systems, business and industry.

A spokesperson for DKML said TeleMED’s new web-based management system,viTELflow3, was selected because it provides improved access to essential information and greater control over management processes. Most important, viTELflow3 provides the best support for DKML’s two key business objectives: enhancing patient health and well-being through the delivery of efficient and effective laboratory services; providing vital information and resources that meet client needs.

“DKML has high standards and expectations,” noted Asa Lebel, President of TeleMED. “Winning its business demonstrates once again that we offer more value and functionality than competing products. Moreover, we are confident that DKML will be just the first of many labs that take advantage of the many benefits offered exclusively by viTELflow3.”

TeleMED, Canada’s leading provider of vital-sign data management technology, now has operations in four provinces. The other three are Ontario, Quebec and British Columbia, where the company already manages more than one million new tests annually.

viTELflow is a single-platform, pay-for-use product that delivers excellent results in medical laboratories, hospitals, clinical research organizations and homecare settings – or any other environment where multiple locations or multiple departments handle ECG, Stress , Holter, Spirometry or Ambulatory Blood Pressure tests.

For more information, please contact Stephen Chernoff at 416-665-8556 or visit the TeleMED web site: http://www.telemeddiagnostic.com

(Toronto, January 31, 2008) — Canada’s leading vital-sign test management system now has a name – viTELflow.

“Branding our industry-leading management system will help us extend our market share in Canada and beyond,” says Asa Lebel, President of Telemed Diagnostic Management Inc. (TeleMED). “It’s also timely because it coincides with the migration of our software to a web-based platform, which allows clinicians and administrators to access critical information at any time, from any place.”

Mr. Lebel said the viTELflow name was selected because it sums up the key benefit of the web-based product: easy, fast and economical transmission of vital-sign test data among various points of care. “Versus paper-based systems, our product helps improve productivity and profitability by eliminating the barriers presented by time and distance.” he said.

viTELflow is a single-platform, pay-for-use product that delivers excellent results in medical laboratories, hospitals, clinical research organizations and homecare settings – or any other environment where multiple locations or multiple departments handle ECG, Stress, Holter, Spirometry or Ambulatory Blood Pressure tests.

Purchasing viTELflow involves no upfront costs because TeleMED provides all the hardware and software technology the customer needs to acquire, share and manage vital-sign diagnostic data in a secure, privacy-compliant environment. TeleMED also maintains and repairs the equipment at no cost and provides free software upgrades.

Introduced in 1998 by TeleMED, a Toronto-based information technology company,viTELflow has enjoyed Canada-wide acceptance and is currently used to manage more than one million new test results annually.

For more information, please contact Stephen Chernoff at 416-665-8556 or visit the TeleMED web site: http://www.telemeddiagnostic.com
